Welcome to Keeping up with Philanthropy!

Hi, everyone! I wanted to introduce myself a bit and let you know what this blog will be about. My name is Stephanie, and I am a fundraising professional. Like many others in this profession, I kind of fell into a job in fundraising and development. I interned at a non-profit during my undergrad and then started working full-time in a development department of a large non-profit after graduating, and here I am three years later!

Fundraising is ever-evolving, and there's always so much news to keep up with (new giving vehicles, different direct marketing techniques, changing tax laws -- just to list a few!), so I wanted to create a blog to keep track of what's changed in philanthropy. I also wanted to start this blog to share my experiences and being a woman of color and an early career fundraiser.
